Ron is a native of Halifax, Nova Scotia who works primarily in watercolour. He is an elected member of the prestigious Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour, (CSPWC) comprised of an elite group of artists ranked among the best in Canada and highly regarded throughout the world. Ron was recently elected a Life member of the CSPWC. Ron was also elected a member of the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA) in 2012.
Although his subject matter focuses on people and places, light is often the main emphasis in his paintings rather than the subject itself. He is well known for his cityscapes and marine paintings.
